Jesus Christ, beyond the romanticism that the Church teaches, would still be a great hero of his day. He was a visionary who saw through the fabrication of his society and stood true to the calling to proclaim the word of the truth that he knew. Marked and labeled as a rebel, he knew also that his mission would end in death, as were the laws of his time. Yet, he chose to march on toward the fight for truth, as he went against the accepted functions of what was known as normal social behavioral patterns, and threatened the authority of the leaders of the church, and also, the head of state. For our sake, that we might hear his word and know this truth, he stood to his words, without fear or compromise, even unto death.
