iLive

Live like you were dying.

I went to the doctor and she said, well, the good news is that you are in perfect health.  On the other hand, the bad news is that you are dying anyway.  Sure, your body is young and strong and vibrant now, but eventually, you are going to begin to experience the effects of time.  Age, gravity, weighing down on your body, with the aches of wear and tear from everyday use of your body.  Progression of time will weaken you and you will grow old an tired inevitably.  Eventually, your body will collapse, fall out, and die.  my best advice to you, she offered, is to live by the following prescription.

Wake up early in the morning and grab a tall glass of water.  Start the day before the sun rises.  Climb a tall tree and capture the rays of the sun as he climbs over the horizon.  Awaken to the new day by chanting, singing, humming aloud; may it be a new sound for a new day each new day.  Embrace the early dawn by breathing, deeply inhale the quiet serenity of the morning mist.  Swing from branch to branch climbing higher, and, each time as the sun rises, so do you.  Alas, release yourself from the tree, come down, for it is the start of a new day.

Go on now, face the world and be saturated by the glow of the sun, or the rain, or hail, or snow.  Whatever the day brings, see it for what it is, just as it is, another tree to climb.  Just as it is, another air to inhale, just as it is, another day to conquer.
